The Brittany Ferries Lunch is an annual event run by the Ireland France Chamber of Commerce (IFCC). A lunch on board the Brittany Ferries flagship has been organized in Cork ferry terminal, by and for the members of the IFCC for the past 25 years. Some organizations may have joined since, such as the Cork Publicity Club and more recently, the Cork Chamber of Commerce.
Last year was a special occasion as Brittany Ferries celebrated its 30 years of crossing from Roscoff to Cork. Today, a company's flagship still comes to Cork : the Pont Aven.
It was also in 1978 that French and Irish companies set up in the other's country decided to form the Ireland France Economic Association. The IFCC has its origins in this association. His Excellency, the French Ambassador, has been the Patron of the Chamber since then. So 2009 was a very special event for both Brittany Ferries and the IFCC.
